HAMILTON / TORONTO — GO Transit’s October 24–25 construction notice calls for no Lakeshore West train service between Aldershot and Union Station, while trains continue between Niagara Falls and Aldershot.
Replacement buses are scheduled between West Harbour and Union Station Bus Terminal. This is the coming weekend’s plan, not a continuation of the October 17–18 marathon-weekend arrangements.
Allow time for the Hamilton connection
GO advises passengers heading toward Hamilton to allow 15 to 25 minutes between replacement buses and regular Route 18 buses at Aldershot. It also identifies Route 18E departures approximately half an hour before or after the usual Route 18 trips.
Friday-night trips also affected
The notice lists October 23 late-night cancellations: the 11:24 p.m. West Harbour departure for Union, plus overnight Union departures at 11:47 p.m. and 12:47 a.m. for West Harbour and 12:17 a.m. for Aldershot. It directs riders to Routes 18N and 18P at Oakville for stops toward Aldershot and West Harbour.
Some alternate-route instructions on GO’s page still refer to train connections at Oakville, despite its broader Aldershot–Union closure statement. Check the live trip planner for the specific journey rather than treating this summary as a complete station-by-station guide.
