(Kitchener, Canada) – Kitchener has confirmed its municipal election results, with voter turnout reaching 22.17 per cent, compared with 20.3 per cent in 2022.
The city's October 27 official-results announcement follows voting on October 26. The new city council is scheduled to be sworn in on November 16.
Berry Vrbanovic is listed as mayor. The ten ward councillors are Scott Davey, Dave Schnider, Jason Deneault, Christine Michaud, Tracey Weiler, Paul Singh, Bil Ioannidis, Margaret Johnston, Debbie Chapman and Sam Nabi, in ward-number order.
Kitchener's elected regional councillors are Colleen James, Matt Rodrigues, Joe Gowing and Michael Harris.
The turnout increase amounts to 1.87 percentage points. It still means fewer than one in four eligible voters participated.
The city's official results page also provides separate documents for regional council and school-board races.
