(Hamilton, Canada) – Hamilton has published the council elected in Monday’s municipal vote, reporting turnout of 31.59%. The results remain uncertified while the City Clerk completes the official process.

The city’s October 26 release lists Keanin Loomis as mayor-elect and says 147,196 of 465,861 eligible voters cast ballots. Certification is expected later this week; the incoming council and school boards take office November 15.

The ward results are: Ward 1, Maureen Wilson; 2, Cameron Kroetsch; 3, Nrinder Nann; 4, Jason Farr; 5, Matt Francis; 6, Tom Jackson; 7, Mark Daly; 8, Dawn Danko; 9, Jonathan Stathakos; 10, Nicole Trombetta; 11, Mark Tadeson; 12, Fred Bennink; 13, Rick Kunc; 14, Mike Spadafora; and 15, Colleen Stewart.

The distinction between these posted results and certification matters: the city has announced the apparent outcome, but the Clerk’s formal declaration is still to come.
