(Mississauga, Canada) – Mississauga’s unofficial municipal election results show 191,166 voters participated in Monday’s election, representing 33.9% of eligible voters, the city announced.

The October 26 release lists Alvin Tedjo as the successful mayoral candidate with 74,479 votes. The City Clerk still must certify the results.

The ward councillors listed are Stephen Dasko in Ward 1, Tom Ellard in Ward 2, Chris Fonseca in Ward 3, John Kovac in Ward 4, Natalie Hart in Ward 5 and Joe Horneck in Ward 6.

The remaining wards went to Lucas Alves in Ward 7, Matt Mahoney in Ward 8, Martin Reid in Ward 9, Sue McFadden in Ward 10 and Brad Butt in Ward 11, according to the city’s release.

The announcement also provides school-board trustee outcomes, including positions filled by acclamation. These are the city’s unofficial results rather than a completed certification notice; the formal declaration remains the next step.
