HAMILTON — One person has died after a shooting in Flamborough on Wednesday, October 21, according to a Hamilton Police statement reproduced by two local news outlets.
Police said there was no threat to public safety and advised residents to expect officers in the area through the afternoon.
CHCH News reported that officers placed the shooting on Blackberry Place, near Carlisle and Centre roads. FlamboroughToday separately reported a large emergency response in the Carlisle area and reproduced the same police statement.
The reports did not identify the person who died. CHCH said information about arrests or charges had not been provided at the time of its 3:24 p.m. update.
The circumstances leading to the shooting have not been established in the material available to TNC. A fatal shooting does not, by itself, establish whether an offence has occurred or who may be responsible.
TNC could not directly retrieve the police post on X. This report relies on the statement embedded in the full CHCH and FlamboroughToday reports, rather than an independently completed scan of the police account.
