Volvo Cars announced October 23 that it plans to remove roughly 2,500 positions globally, including 2,000 in Sweden.
The automaker reported a SEK 5.6-billion third-quarter operating loss and targeted another SEK 5 billion in cost reductions.
It says the workforce changes involve ending consultant contracts, attrition and targeted exit packages. Full financial effects are expected by the end of 2027.
