HAMILTON — Southbound Upper Centennial Parkway is scheduled to be closed between Mud Street East and Highland Road East from 7 a.m. October 19 until 5 p.m. October 23 for road work, according to the City of Hamilton’s current closure list.

The notice applies to the southbound direction, not a full closure of both directions. Friday’s reopening time is the published schedule, not a guarantee that work cannot change.

Route 44 Rymal detour

HSR says westbound Route 44 buses reaching Upper Centennial and Mud will turn right onto Mud Street, left onto 1st Road West, then left onto Highland Road before returning to Upper Centennial and regular service.

No eastbound detour is listed. The Upper Centennial Parkway at Mud Street stop is out of service; a temporary stop is listed at Desi’s Corner Plaza.

The transit notice uses the same October 19, 7 a.m. to October 23, 5 p.m. window. Passengers should consult the live HSR notice before travelling rather than assume every nearby route follows this detour.

This is a day-of-closure service report. The city road-closure page was last marked modified October 15; the restriction was not first announced this morning.
