(Toronto, Canada) – Toronto’s municipal election results are official after City Clerk John D. Elvidge certified them Thursday, October 29.

The city recorded 989,990 ballots in the election. Candidate totals and a poll-by-poll breakdown are now available through Toronto Elections, including advance, mail and election-day voting.

The ballot count is not a turnout percentage. The city says final voter statistics, including the revised number of eligible electors, will be available within 30 days of the election.

The next council term begins November 15. Incoming members will make their declarations of office privately with the clerk ahead of council’s first meeting on November 18 and 19.

The certification provides the official record for residents checking local races; detailed results can be reviewed through the city’s election-results portal.
