Ottawa answered Brady Tkachuk’s opening goal with five of its own, beating Florida 5–1 at Canadian Tire Centre on Wednesday, October 21.

Tkachuk scored on a first-period power play during his return to Ottawa. Tim Stützle tied it later in the period, before Claude Giroux and Shane Pinto put the Senators ahead in the second. Warren Foegele and Stephen Halliday added third-period goals.

The Canadian Press reported boos for Tkachuk, who spent eight seasons with Ottawa, including five as captain.

Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark left early in the third after a save on Tkachuk, according to the report. Sam Ersson took over.

Ottawa improved to 7–3–0. Florida fell to 5–3–2.
