Hamilton’s October 23 notice confirms a December 18 target for the Ridge Road closure between Third Road East and Tapleytown Road, weather permitting.

The closure is scheduled to begin October 26 for culvert installation and slope stabilization associated with the Dewitt Hill rockfall. The city says local access via Third Road East and Ridge Road, and emergency access, will remain available.

What changed: The new primary notice specifies December 18, clarifying the difference noted in our earlier report between CHCH’s date and the city’s broader late-December closure listing. Drivers should allow extra travel time and check current notices.
