QUEBEC — Quebec voters head to the polls Monday, October 5, with voting locations open from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Élections Québec says.

The provincial election authority is directing voters to the yellow card mailed to their home or its online polling-place finder to confirm where to cast a ballot.

Bring accepted identification

Accepted documents include a Quebec driver’s licence, Quebec health insurance card, Canadian passport, certificate of Indian status or Canadian Armed Forces identification card.

Voters should check their assigned location rather than assume they can vote at any nearby polling station.

Accessibility and family visits

The authority says most polling places are accessible. Its website provides location-specific information; voters whose assigned location does not meet their needs can contact their returning officer about voting elsewhere.

Children may accompany adults. Special children’s voting stations offer a question about democratic values as an introduction to elections.

The official voting deadline is 8 p.m. Monday. This is a voting guide; no election outcome has been declared in this report.
