Palantir executive Louis Mosley says neither the company nor the U.S. government can remotely disable the Maven Smart System used by NATO.
He told Reuters in Brussels on October 21 that customers retain operational control. The October 22 report follows concern about disruptions to Ukraine’s Starshield satellite service.
NATO’s Joint Warfare Centre says Maven reached full technical operational capability on June 22, 2026. Its August 12 account describes an AI-enabled platform connecting command-and-control systems across the alliance.
The centre also reported that NATO’s Security Accreditation Board approved the system to operate on the alliance’s classified network. Those earlier milestones provide context for Mosley’s latest assurance.
