OTTAWA — Ottawa Rapid FC erased an early two-goal deficit to defeat Vancouver Rise FC 5–2 at TD Place Stadium on Sunday, October 18.

The Northern Super League’s final match summary records two goals apiece for Delaney Baie Pridham and Florence Belzile, with Elise Bell adding the other Ottawa goal.

Five unanswered goals

Anna Bout and Latifah Abdu put Vancouver ahead in the 16th and 17th minutes. Pridham replied in the 27th, leaving Ottawa a goal behind at the break.

Belzile equalized in the 53rd minute and put the hosts ahead in the 68th. Bell added a fourth in the 87th before Pridham completed the scoring in second-half stoppage time, the league’s timeline shows.

Title race continues

The league’s current table places Ottawa second on 40 points after 24 matches, two behind Montreal Roses FC. AFC Toronto is third with 38. Vancouver has 28 points.

The Canadian Press reports that Ottawa finishes its regular season against Montreal at Stade Boréale on Friday, October 23, with a win securing the Supporters’ Shield. That remains a future possibility, not a trophy already won.
