(Toronto, Canada) - Ontario has opened applications for its 2027–28 Seniors Community Grant Program, with a December 17, 2026 deadline.
The province announced a $7-million investment October 27, including an additional $1 million for programs supporting senior veterans. Selected recipients can receive up to $25,000 for local activities that strengthen social inclusion, volunteering and community connections.
The intake is aimed at eligible community organizations, municipalities and Indigenous governing bodies and organizations. It is a project-grant program, not a direct payment to every senior, and an application does not establish an award.
The ministry points to activities such as cooking workshops, fraud-prevention education, digital-literacy programs and intergenerational games nights.
Information webinars are scheduled for November 10 and December 2. Applicants should check the official program information and application requirements before submitting.
