(Toronto, Canada) – Toronto police are asking anyone with information to come forward after charging a 27-year-old man in a North York sexual assault investigation.

In an October 30 release, police identified the accused as Nguyen Nguyen of Toronto. He faces two counts of sexual assault, along with assault and forcible confinement. The allegations have not been proven in court.

Police allege the accused met the victim near Keele Street and Rustic Road on October 29 at approximately 7:20 p.m., after communication through online dating websites. They allege he sexually assaulted the victim, who was able to escape.

Investigators say they believe there may be additional victims and have released a photograph of the accused as part of that appeal.

Nguyen is scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on October 31 at 10 a.m. That is a scheduled proceeding, not a reported court outcome.

Anyone with information can contact 12 Division at 416-808-1200, quoting case 2026-2283737. Police direct people seeking reporting information or community support to YourChoice.to.
