(Lombardy, Canada) – Ontario Provincial Police are seeking information after reclassifying the January 2024 death of Glen James Craig, 71, as a homicide.
Leeds County officers found Craig at a Bay Road home in Lombardy at approximately 1:35 p.m. on January 4, 2024. The Rideau Lakes Township resident's death was initially investigated as a sudden death.
In an October 29 appeal, police said further investigation had established it was a homicide. The public announcement is a new development in an older death; it does not mean the incident happened this week.
The Brockvilleist reports that police have not disclosed the circumstances of Craig's death or whether any suspects have been identified. No cause of death is stated in the reporting used here.
The investigation continues under the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch with Leeds County officers, the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
Anyone with information can contact Leeds County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or the dedicated investigation tip line at 1-833-941-8709.
