(Washington, United States) - White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett says U.S.–Canada trade negotiations are advancing, according to Barron’s reporting Sunday, October 25.
Hassett told Fox News the countries were close to an agreement and said Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick had spoken with Canadian officials during the previous week, Barron’s reported.
His assessment concerns talks still in progress. It should not be read as an announcement of a signed agreement or an implemented tariff change.
