(Hamilton, ON) - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats ended their 2026 season with a 35–22 home win over the Ottawa Redblacks on Saturday, October 24.
Hamilton finished 6–12. Ottawa closed at 1–17, a week after earning its only victory against Toronto.
Kicking and turnovers create the advantage
Marc Liegghio supplied seven field goals, one short of the club record, while Tre Ford threw touchdown passes to Jaelen Gill and Larry Rountree III.
Ford completed 18 of 25 attempts for 170 yards and added 52 yards rushing. Hamilton led 22–9 at halftime and extended its advantage to 35–9 before Ottawa’s late touchdowns.
The Canadian Press reported that Hamilton converted four Ottawa turnovers and a partially blocked punt into 20 points.
Ottawa also finished with an individual milestone: Kalil Pimpleton’s 98 kickoff-return yards brought his season total to 1,834, surpassing the previous league record of 1,805.
The victory was Hamilton’s second in its final eight games; both wins came against Ottawa.
