Hamilton has received $1,397,063 from Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for hosting Elements Casino Flamboro, according to an OLG release published Wednesday.
The payment covers the second quarter, July 1 to September 30. It brings Hamilton’s receipts for the fiscal year that began April 1, 2026, to $2,814,167.
A share of casino revenue
OLG says the payments are calculated under its Municipality Contribution Agreement using a graduated scale of gaming revenue. The same formula applies across Ontario’s land-based casino sites.
Hamilton has received $118,307,177 through the arrangement since the gaming site opened in October 2000, according to the release.
The announcement reports the transfer to the city. It does not identify particular Hamilton projects that will receive this quarter’s money.
