The Hamilton Hammers finished their three-game road trip with a 2–1 win over the Laval Rocket at Place Bell on Saturday, October 24.

Josh Kotai made 33 saves for his first AHL victory, according to Hamilton’s official recap. The win lifted the Hammers to 2–6–0–1 and left Laval at 7–2–0–0.

Ethan Bear opened the scoring 30 seconds into the game. Matthew Highmore added a shorthanded goal in the second period, before Dillan Bentley replied for the Rocket.

Hamilton protected its 2–1 advantage throughout the third period, with Kotai stopping all 11 Laval shots. The Hammers also held the Rocket scoreless on three power-play opportunities.

The result followed Hamilton’s 4–2 loss in the same building Friday. The team returns home Thursday, October 29, to face Hartford at TD Coliseum.
