(Hamilton, Canada) - A home and vehicle were struck by gunfire on Hamilton Mountain early Tuesday, according to Hamilton Police. No injuries have been reported.

Police say officers responded to reports of shots fired near Atessa Drive and Rymal Road East at about 4:30 a.m. on October 27. They found a residence and vehicle that had been hit.

The Shooting Response Team and Division 3 Criminal Investigations Branch are investigating. In a release posted at 6:31 a.m., police said they were holding the scene and expected officers to remain through much of the morning while collecting evidence and canvassing for witnesses and surveillance footage.

Police had released no suspect information at the time of that update. The investigation remains ongoing.
