OTTAWA — Forge FC earned a 2–1 away victory over Atlético Ottawa at TD Place on Saturday, October 17, keeping Hamilton's club in contention for the Canadian Premier League's regular-season Shield.

Anthony Aromatario opened the scoring in the 33rd minute after goalkeeper Tristan Crampton stopped Rezart Rama's shot but could not keep the rebound away from the Forge midfielder.

Levonte Johnson doubled the advantage in the 54th minute, finishing a move involving Lucas Cavallini. Both scorers registered their first CPL goals for Forge, according to the league's match report.

Ottawa's late reply was not enough

Atlético's Diego Gutiérrez received a second yellow card in the 61st minute. The hosts nevertheless reduced the deficit through Gabriel Antinoro's penalty seven minutes into added time, following a Football Video Support review.

Forge held on for a third consecutive league win and its first victory in Ottawa since 2023. The result keeps the Shield contest alive; it does not clinch the trophy.
