FREDERICTON — Daniel Allain has won the leadership of New Brunswick’s Progressive Conservatives, Your Charlotte County reported on Saturday, October 17.
Reporter Bryan Tait put the result at 2,543 votes for Allain and 1,797 for Don Monahan. TNC has not obtained a separate official detailed results document; those figures are attributed to the local outlet’s report.
In his victory address, Allain urged members from both campaigns to work together. The report says he promised a policy-renewal process, updated communications and fundraising, and preparations to organize across all 49 provincial ridings.
The party’s own event listing confirms that its leadership convention was scheduled for October 17 at the Fredericton Convention Centre.
This is a party-leadership result, not a provincial general-election result or a transfer of government. The organizational and policy commitments in the victory address are plans, not enacted government measures.
