Canada’s dollar reached C$1.3969 per U.S. dollar intraday on October 23, Reuters reported at 3:15 p.m. Toronto time.
The report put it near C$1.40, up 0.1 per cent, as oil rose and retail data supported rate-hike expectations.
This was a trading snapshot; the Bank of Canada had not announced its October 28 decision.
