(Burlington, Canada) – Burlington Transit is reviewing a collision between one of its buses and a pedestrian near Cavendish Drive and Coventry Way on Friday, October 30, according to a city statement reproduced by the Burlington Gazette.
The city said the bus was operating on Route 2. Emergency crews attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital.
In a Friday afternoon report, CHCH quoted Halton police saying a woman was struck while crossing the street at about 8:55 a.m. She was taken to hospital for assessment, with injuries determined to be non-life-threatening, the report said.
The city statement put the collision at approximately 8:53 a.m. Both accounts place it in the same morning period and location.
CHCH reported that roads in the area had reopened by its 2:47 p.m. publication. The earlier closure is therefore not being presented as a current traffic restriction.
The city said it was reviewing the circumstances. The accounts cited here do not establish fault or report charges.
