Health Canada has announced a recall of 6,001 Baby Brezza SuperFast Sterilizer Dryers sold in Canada because the appliances can overheat during use, creating fire and burn hazards.
The November 5 notice tells consumers to stop using the affected product immediately and contact importer EI Brand Management Inc. for instructions on obtaining a free replacement. The company had received 20 Canadian reports of overheating and melting as of October 29, with no injuries reported, according to Health Canada.
The Canadian recall identifies model BRZ0083, with UPC 886267008313. The model number appears on a label underneath the appliance; the UPC is on its packaging. Health Canada says the affected units were sold from September 2023 through November 2026.
The appliance sterilizes and dries baby bottles, their parts and accessories. The newly published notice identifies November 5 as both the recall date and its original publication date. The October 29 date is the cutoff for the Canadian incident reports, not the date the recall began.
Independent reporting by Anna Halkidis, published on AOL on November 5, also confirmed the accompanying U.S. recall. That report says approximately 29,000 appliances are being recalled in the United States following 32 reports of overheating or melting plastic housing, with no reported injuries.
The U.S. coverage lists three affected model numbers: BRZ0083, BRZ0154 and BRZ0156. It says the appliances were sold at TJ Maxx and Marshall’s stores and through Baby Brezza, Target and Babylist websites between January 2024 and October 2026. Those are the U.S. sales details; Health Canada’s Canadian notice identifies BRZ0083.
Halkidis reports that the replacement offered through the U.S. program is an upgraded SuperQuick 10 Minute Sterilizer Dryer and that no receipt is required.
For Canadian replacement instructions, Health Canada directs owners to EI Brand Management Inc., which can be contacted at service@elfe.ca.
