(Toronto, Canada) – Toronto police have charged a Brampton rideshare driver with two counts of sexual assault and one count of forcible confinement following an alleged Halloween-night incident.

In a release published at 5:32 p.m. on November 2, police identified the accused as Sahib Brar, 32, and released his photograph because investigators believe there may be additional victims.

Police allege a passenger entered the vehicle near Yonge Street and Wellesley Street East around 9:50 p.m. on October 31 and was sexually assaulted. They further allege the driver prevented her from leaving at the destination and assaulted her again.

The charges are allegations that have not been proven in court. The release listed a scheduled November 2 bail-court appearance; it did not establish the hearing’s outcome.
