(Toronto, Canada) – AFC Toronto hosts Ottawa Rapid FC at York Lions Stadium on Saturday, October 31, opening an all-Ontario Northern Super League semifinal at 2 p.m. Eastern.
The professional women's soccer rivals will play two legs for a place in the championship final. The return match is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, at TD Place in Ottawa, also at 2 p.m. Eastern. Both clubs list CBC coverage.
Ottawa finished the regular season second with 40 points, one ahead of third-place Toronto. The clubs enter the postseason with the championship berth still to be decided over the semifinal series.
Toronto says gates open at 1 p.m. for the first leg. Its October 28 announcement outlines Halloween activities at the stadium, including a trick-or-treat trail and a costume contest.
Saturday's game begins the series rather than deciding it outright. Ottawa's home leg the following weekend gives the Rapid a second fixture in front of their own supporters.
