The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Cleveland Guardians 7–3 in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series, clinching the pennant with a four-games-to-two series victory.

Major League Baseball’s official game record lists the contest as final and gives it an October 19 official date. It ended after 11 p.m. Toronto time Monday, although its final update carries an October 20 UTC timestamp.

Peralta and two home runs

Freddy Peralta earned the win, allowing one run over 5⅓ innings. Yandy Díaz and Junior Caminero each homered and drove in two runs, according to the official box score.

Tampa Bay scored twice in the second inning and once in the third. Cleveland scored in the sixth and added two in the eighth, while the Rays put up two runs in each of the seventh and eighth innings.

Both clubs finished with seven hits and no errors. The result completes the ALCS; it is not a World Series result.
