HAMILTON — PWHL Hamilton has unveiled the home and away jerseys the expansion team will wear during its inaugural 2026–27 season.

Both uniforms carry “HAMILTON” diagonally across the front, following the Professional Women’s Hockey League’s tradition of using city-name jerseys for a team’s debut season. The full Hamilton team name and logo are scheduled to be revealed before the season begins, but the league says those elements will not appear on game jerseys until 2027–28.

Colours reference steel and Hamilton sports

The home jersey is primarily gold, with burnt-orange and deep-red accents. The away uniform uses cream as its main colour. The PWHL says the palette was designed to evoke forging and rusted steel while also recognizing Hamilton’s sporting history.

The gold calls back to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, while the wider colour combination also references uniforms worn by the former Hamilton Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League and Hamilton Tigers of the National Hockey League.

Road debut December 5, home opener December 13

Hamilton will first wear the cream away jersey when the club begins its season against the reigning Walter Cup champion Montréal Victoire at Place Bell on Saturday, December 5, at 7 p.m. Eastern.

The gold home jersey is scheduled to make its on-ice debut at TD Coliseum on Sunday, December 13, when Hamilton hosts the Ottawa Charge at 2 p.m.

The league says replica jerseys and personalized player versions will go on sale during the week leading into PWHL Opening Weekend on December 5 and 6. Jersey-inspired shirts featuring Zoe Boyd, Brianne Jenner and Alina Müller are already available through the league’s Canadian online store.

Hamilton is one of four PWHL expansion teams beginning play this season, alongside Detroit, Las Vegas and San Jose. The expansion raises the league to 12 clubs.
