Ontario announced more than C$13 million on Wednesday for nearly 40 community projects serving children, young people and families. The money will flow through the Youth Opportunities Fund, administered by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

The province says the projects will offer services including mentorship, career guidance and job shadowing, alongside programs connecting families with community and cultural supports. Recipients also receive coaching and networking support.

Ontario Families for Disability Justice will receive C$213,700 over three years to support caregivers of children and youth with autism and intellectual or developmental disabilities in the Greater Toronto Area and nearby communities. Its work includes peer groups, workshops and help navigating services.

The Vision Quest Project is receiving C$299,000 over three years for Indigenous parents in Muskoka and Renfrew. Planned activities include virtual workshops, Elder-led sharing circles and family cultural retreats.

For organizations seeking future funding, the System Innovations stream is open. The foundation lists a required coaching-call deadline of February 17, 2027, followed by an organization-information deadline on February 24. Eligible lead organizations must submit their full applications by March 10 at 5 p.m. Eastern.
