German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in Kyiv Sunday with defence-industry executives to discuss expanded support for Ukraine, Reuters reports.
German officials said planned measures include releasing €1 billion in military assistance and €350 million for energy repairs. A joint drone-production agreement is also expected.
The visit comes amid escalating Russian attacks. The proposed agreements and aid announcements remain distinct from completed deliveries.
