(Hamilton, Canada) – Hamilton police are investigating a parent’s report of sewing needles inside Halloween chocolate bars collected by children on the Mountain.
Officers attended a residence near Upper Ottawa Street and Mohawk Road on November 2. In an alert published at 4:18 p.m., police identified Aero, KitKat and Caramilk among the affected chocolate bars.
Investigators believe the treats may have been collected on either side of Limeridge Road between Upper Ottawa Street and Upper Kenilworth Avenue. That possible collection area does not identify a particular home or establish where tampering occurred.
Police asked parents and caregivers to inspect Halloween candy before it is eaten. Anyone finding something suspicious should keep the item and its packaging, avoid consuming or discarding it, and contact police. Information can be provided at 905-546-3886.
This Hamilton investigation is separate from the Upper Beaches report and Oshawa case already covered by TNC. No verified connection between those investigations is established here.
