The Art Gallery of Hamilton’s art, music and food festival is scheduled to open Wednesday, November 4, beginning five days of performances, collaborative art projects and activities at the downtown gallery.

Organizers list opening-night hours of 6 to 10 p.m., with the Super Choir main performance at 7 p.m. Admission that evening is free, with no tickets or advance registration required.

Participating groups include Hamilton Children’s Choir, McMaster University Choir, Hamilton Sings! and the Canadian Orpheus Male Choir.

Visitors can also contribute cyanotype artwork to Memory of the Makers, a collective wall weaving. That free activity begins Wednesday evening and continues through Saturday.

From Thursday through Sunday, Paper Forest invites visitors to make paper trees for a growing installation. The wider programme includes a Friday screening and discussion of the housing documentary PUSH, followed by Saturday workshops and a fashion show inspired by the gallery’s Bruegel-Bosch Bus sculpture.

Sunday’s Family Fare runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, while food tastings cost C$5 each.

The gallery is at 123 King Street West. Visitors can check its current access guidance before travelling. Admission and booking requirements vary by event.
