HAMILTON — The city recorded 7,310 ballots at 15 advance-voting locations on October 3 and 4, according to a municipal election update published October 7.
The total comprised 3,953 ballots on Saturday and 3,357 on Sunday. A separate 331 ballots were cast at Ballot-on-Demand stops at Lime Ridge Mall, Redeemer University and McMaster University between September 28 and October 2.
The city says those ballots will be counted on election day, October 26. The figures describe early participation, rather than results or final turnout.
Residents still have two advance-voting weekends: October 10–11 and October 17–18, with polls open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voting locations and accessibility information are listed on the city’s election website.
City Hall will also offer Ballot-on-Demand voting for eligible voters from all wards on October 13–16 and October 19–23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The city asks voters to bring identification showing their name and home address; a voter information card is not required.
