(Montreal, Canada) - Canada will face Serbia, Ukraine and Cameroon in its opening pool at the 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup, following the tournament draw announced Monday, October 26.
Pool G will play at Montreal’s Centre Bell during the August 20–25 pool phase. Montreal will also stage Pool E, comprising Poland, Germany, Slovenia and Cuba.
Two Canadian host cities
The competition runs from August 20 to September 5, 2027, across five cities in Canada and the United States. Quebec City’s Centre Vidéotron will host Pools C and H; Omaha and Orlando are the other first-round venues.
The Canadian host-city announcement came on October 1. Monday’s development establishes the pool assignments rather than announcing Montreal and Quebec City as hosts for the first time.
FIVB’s host announcement says the Canadian venues will also stage round-of-16 matches, with the Canadian portion scheduled through August 28. The quarterfinals, semifinals and final will take place in Anaheim, California.
Draw confirmed; match details still to follow
The field consists of 32 national teams divided into eight groups of four. The final is scheduled for September 5 at Anaheim’s Honda Center.
Organizers say ticket information is coming soon. The pool announcement does not establish Canada’s individual match times, ticket prices or results. Fans can register for tournament updates through the official event website.
