The Pentagon’s selection gives Boeing another major fighter-development win.
Boeing will develop the U.S. Navy’s next stealth fighter, the Pentagon confirmed Tuesday, according to Reuters.
The US$20-billion award covers development and test aircraft. Boeing defeated Northrop Grumman in the competition.
The company also won the Air Force’s F-47 programme in March 2025. The Navy award adds a second major sixth-generation fighter project to its work.
