TORONTO — Adarius Pickett leads the CFL’s defensive and total tackle categories as the season moves into October, the league’s official statistics show.
Through 15 games, Toronto’s linebacker has 92 defensive tackles and 11 on special teams, for 103 combined. The same table records three sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and six tackles for loss.
A strong September
The CFL named Pickett one of its September Players of the Month on September 30. He made 35 tackles during the month, including 33 on defence, as Toronto won all four of its September games.
A 13-tackle performance against Edmonton in Week 16 matched his career high, according to the league. Nathan Rourke and Tyrice Beverette received the other monthly honours.
An October 2 Canadian Press profile brought renewed attention to Pickett’s season. The monthly award itself was announced two days earlier.
These are season-to-date statistics, rather than a final ranking or a new game result. Totals can change as the remaining schedule is played.
